Wall Mount Hood Size Guide
Hood Width (A)
The hood width should match your cooktop. Common sizes are 30", 36", 42", and 48". A wider hood will provide better coverage.
Hood Height (B)
Ceiling Height(C)-RangeHeight(D)-33"(E)= Hood Height
(The distance from the cooktop to the bottom of the hood should be 30"-36" above the cooktop for optimal performance.)
Example: Total Ceiling Height (108") - Stove Height (36") - Mounting Gap (33") = 39" Hood Height.
Hood Depth (F)
The hood depth is the measurement from front to back of the hood. Typical depths are 22"-24", depending on your kitchen layout.
Island Mount Hood Size Guide
Hood Width (A)For island-mounted range hoods, the hood width should be 3"-6" wider than your cooking area.
