Maintenance Guide

Proper care will help your copper or stainless steel range hood stay in great condition for years. This guide covers simple, effective ways to maintain your metal range hood.

Care & Maintenance for Copper Range Hood

Each of our copper range hood is handcrafted from heavy 16-gauge copper and finished with a clear protective coating.

Everyday Cleaning: Wash the surface with warm water and a gentle, non-acidic soap using a soft cotton cloth. Choose mild, pH-neutral products rather than strong dish soaps or abrasive solutions.

Occasional Deep Cleaning: For disinfecting or removing buildup, use a diluted, non-corrosive household cleaner. Always avoid anything that scratches.

After Daily Use: Wipe the copper dry with a soft towel after each use. This simple habit helps prevent spotting or streaks.

Protective Waxing: Apply a thin coat of natural beeswax or similar wax every 3–6 months, depending on how often the product is used. Buff gently with a clean, non-abrasive cloth for a polished finish.

Do Not: Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Never use ammonia-based cleaners or abrasives, as these can damage the protective lacquer and dull the finish over time.

Care & Maintenance for Stainless Steel Range Hood

Stainless steel kitchen hoods are durable and easy to maintain. Here’s how to keep them looking their best:

Regular Cleaning
-Dusting: Use a microfiber cloth to remove dust, following the grain of the steel.
-Cleaning: Use warm water and mild soap to clean the surface. Apply with a soft cloth to remove grease and grime.
-Drying: Dry the hood with a clean cloth to avoid water spots and streaks.

Grease and Oil Removal
-Grease: Use a stainless steel cleaner or degreaser to remove grease buildup. Apply it with a soft cloth and wipe with the grain of the steel.
-Stains: For tough stains, use a dedicated cleaner safe for stainless steel, followed by a rinse and dry.
